The Aviation sector has been providing numerous job opportunities to graduates in India. In the past, in case of India, there were not many courses that focused on the aviation sector and groomed students to take on roles in that sector. Usually, Graduates of any discipline used to apply for aviation jobs. At present, things have changed! There are many aviation sector oriented courses present, which cater to the needs of the aviation Industry! Note that career prospects and the possibility of landing a high paying job in Aviation sector depends a lot on the quality of the Institute from which you pursue the course. Yes, type of course and aptitude of the candidate also plays a huge role. Make sure that you research well about an Institute/College, before taking admission in it.

The first thing you should check is whether the Institute you are interested is approved and recognized by the appropriate authorities or not! Before selecting a particular course, make sure that you have the aptitude and ability to thrive in the role associated with that course. For example- not everyone can become a Commercial Pilot! If you did not have the aptitude to become a Pilot, it would be better to choose another Aviation course!

 prerequisite

  1. B-Tech / B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/ B-Tech in Avionics helps you to become engineers in the respective fields. Eligibility: +2 Science with 50% marks individually for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  2. B-Tech in Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering / Avionics or Electronics & Communication Engineering to become Airworthiness Engineer.
  3. B.E. in AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) or Diploma in AME with DGCA Approval Eligibility: +2 Science with Physics and Mathematics aggregate 50% marks or Diploma in any branch of engineering with aggregate 50% marks.
  4. B-Tech in Electronics / Telecommunication or Radio Engineering with minimum first class to become Air Traffic Controller (ATC) Selection: Through ATC entrance examination, Voice test, Personal Interview, Medical fitness test and further training
  5. Three basic license courses to be cleared to become a Commercial Pilot - Student pilot License, Private Pilot License and Commercial Pilot License. Eligibility: Science with Physics and Mathematics and minimum 16 years old.
