Mass communication is the study of how people exchange information through mass media to large segments of the population at the same time. It is usually understood to relate newspaper, magazine, and book publishing, as well as radio, television and film, even via internet as these mediums are used for disseminating information, news and advertising.

Although the eligibility criteria will vary from college to college but mostly depend on the below mentioned factors:

Undergraduate courses: Mostly undergraduate courses only required the successful completion of Class XII from any board.

Post Graduate courses: A postgraduate course would require the candidate to be below 30 years of age and the completion of a Bachelors degree in any discipline. Some would also prefer work experience in some media related work.
